Antiques Roadshow 2013 Tour Is Bigger Than Ever
Season 18 Expands to 35 Episodes and Eight Cities By marketwire

BOSTON, MA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/07/13 -- Viewers asked and PBS listened! Antiques Roadshow, PBS's highest-rated ongoing primetime series, has announced its summer 2013 tour, increasing the tour by two cities and the overall number of new episodes in its 18th season to 35.

"By adding more cities to this year's tour, Roadshow fans will get their fill as we're producing more Roadshow than ever before," said executive producer Marsha Bemko. "We've expanded to include two additional stops, which means meeting an additional 10,000 guests this summer. With an eight-city tour we'll be treated to even more discoveries of America's stories."

Programs taped during the 2013 summer tour will make up Roadshow's 18th broadcast season on PBS, premiering in January 2014.

Roadshow's 2013 tour features local appraisal events at which some of the country's top experts offer free evaluations of antiques and collectibles -- revealing the often-surprising history and value of these items.

Antiques Roadshow's 2013 stops and dates include:

  • Detroit, Michigan - June 1
  • Jacksonville, Florida - June 8
  • Anaheim, California - June 22
  • Boise, Idaho - June 29
  • Knoxville, Tennessee - July 13
  • Baton Rouge, Louisiana - July 27
  • Kansas City, Missouri - August 10
  • Richmond, Virginia - August 17

Admission to Antiques Roadshow events is free, but tickets are required and must be obtained in advance. Ticket applications and complete ticketing rules will be available on at pbs.org/antiques or by calling 1-888-762-3749 after Antiques Roadshow's season premiere, Monday, January 7, 2012 at 8/7C PM. A limited number of ticket recipients will be selected at random from all eligible entries. Ticket holders are invited to bring two items for a free verbal approximation of value by experts from the world's leading auction houses, independent appraisers, auctioneers, and dealers. All ticket holders are guaranteed an appraisal.

In addition, "The Roadshow Furniture Roundup" is looking for large pieces of furniture within 50 miles of each tour location. Complete furniture submission rules are available online at pbs.org/antiques or by calling our information line at 1-888-762-3749.

Before hitting the road this summer, 10-time Emmy Award-nominated Antiques Roadshow begins its 17th broadcast season Monday, January 7, 2013 at 8/7C PM on PBS, with host Mark L. Walberg. This year's blockbuster lineup kicks off from Corpus Christi, Texas, with another million-dollar find: a Diego Rivera painting worth $800,000 to $1,000,000!
