BJ's Restaurants Opens in Tucson, Arizona
By Globenewswire

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif., Aug. 3, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- BJ's Restaurants, Inc. (Nasdaq:BJRI) today announced the opening of its newest restaurant in Tucson, Arizona, on August 2, 2010. The new BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse is located at 5510 East Broadway Boulevard, at the intersection of Broadway Boulevard and Craycroft Road, and is positioned just west of the 1,050,000 square-foot super regional Park Place Mall. The restaurant is approximately 8,000 square feet, contains seating for approximately 280 guests, and also features BJ's extensive menu including BJ's signature deep-dish pizza, award-winning handcrafted beer and famous Pizookie® dessert. BJ's highly detailed, contemporary décor and unique video statement, including BJ's 103" plasma display as well as several high definition flat panel televisions, creates a high energy, fun and family-friendly dining environment for everyone to enjoy. Hours of operation are from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight Sunday through Thursday, and 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

"We are very excited to open our second restaurant in Tucson," commented Jerry Deitchle, Chairman and CEO. "Our first Tucson restaurant opened back in 2005 and has been well received by consumers. Our newest Tucson restaurant achieved opening day sales that well exceeded our expectations. To date, we have opened six new restaurants during 2010 and currently anticipate opening as many as four more restaurants before the end of this year. In doing so, we would thereby achieve our stated goal to increase our total restaurant operating weeks by approximately 13% during 2010. Our next two restaurants are currently planned to open in Colorado Springs, CO, and Sparks, NV, before the end of the current fiscal third quarter."

BJ's Restaurants, Inc. currently owns and operates 98 casual dining restaurants under the BJ's Restaurant & Brewery, BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse or BJ's Pizza & Grill brand names.
