8-Part "Social Media Summer Series" Kicks Off Tomorrow With All-Star Cast of Social Media Experts
LOS ANGELES, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 07/15/09 -- MarketingProfs, a trusted online resource for more than 325,000 professional marketers, today announced the launch of a new online seminar series designed to help marketers master the latest social media strategies and techniques for improving customer relationships.
The "Social Media Summer Series" kicks off Thursday, July 16, at Noon (ET) with a session by author and consultant Charlene Li titled, "The Art of Social Media: It's All About Relationships." Li's online seminar focuses on using social technologies that support better relationships with customers and prospects.
Li is part of a social media "dream team" that includes Jason Baer, Chris Brogan, Amber Naslund, Beth Harte, Brian Solis, C.C. Chapman and John Gerzema. Each will deliver a new topic every Thursday (excluding July 23) through Sept. 10. The sessions are free for Premium Plus members of MarketingProfs. The list of scheduled topics and speakers:
- "The Art of Social Media: It's All About the Relationships," July 16. Presenter: Charlene Li, an author, consultant and former industry analyst for Forrester.
- "A Method to the Madness: Seven Steps to a Social Media Strategy," July 30. Presenter: Jason Baer, president of Convince & Convert, a social media and email consulting firm.
- "Aligning Social Media Tools with Your Firm's Sales Cycle," Aug. 6. Presenter: Chris Brogan, a social media consultant and blogger. His blog at chrisbrogan.com is listed in Advertising Age's Power150.
- "Building Brand Communities: This Ain't Your Mama's Chat Room," Aug. 13. Presenter: Amber Naslund, Director of Community for Radian6, a social media monitoring vendor.
- "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff: Social Media Measurement," Aug. 20. Presenter: Beth Harte, a blogger and MarketingProfs' community manager.
- "What to do About Social Media's Threat to Traditional PR," Aug. 27. Presenter: Brian Solis, a blogger, author and founder of FutureWorks, a Silicon Valley PR and communications agency.
- "Connecting the Dots: Delivering Content Across Social Networks," Sept. 3. Presenter: C.C. Chapman, a new media consultant and podcasting pioneer.
- "Social Media and the New Consumer: Energizing Your Brand," Sept. 10. Presenter: John Gerzema, an author and Chief Insights Officer at Young & Rubicam Group.
