Approximately 700 global business executives from 45 countries are expected to attend this autumn's LocWorld in Santa Clara, November 1-3.
The conference, which features six concurrent tracks with nine topic areas, has a special focus on continuous delivery.
LocWorld brings together delegates who are engaged in the business of adapting products, services and communications to an international language or culture so as to appear native to that particular region. Speakers at the conference include representatives from ADP, Adobe Systems, Box, Dell, Facebook, GoPro, Medtronic, Microsoft, Netflix, Oracle, PayPal, Tableau Software and other notable companies.
Erica Orange, executive vice president and chief operating officer of The Future Hunters, one of the world's leading futurist consulting firms, will deliver the keynote, The Future Begins Now. Erica will talk about the pace of change in a broad context and discuss several emerging trends that are revolutionizing the future and how the current landscape will be transformed.
The preconference day will include round tables on sales and marketing, life sciences business and game localization. There will also be a forum on localization processes, sessions on project management, attracting and developing talent, localization thinking for startups and neural MT transformation.
“Our preconference events are always popular with experienced professionals who want to increase their skills and broaden their knowledge," says Ulrich Henes, the conference co-organizer and president of The Localization Institute. “We also offer opportunities for those who are just getting started in the industry or have new responsibilities."
Attendees may choose from nine topic areas during the main conference program: Advanced Localization Management, Community, Content Management, Core Competencies, Global Business, Inside Track, TAUS, Technical and Unconference.
Some highlighted presentations include:

The top two will go through to the final round on day two, to be named as the LocWorld Process Innovator for North America 2017.
“Localization has long been a key component of international business," says Donna Parrish, publisher of the magazine MultiLingual and co-organizer of LocWorld. “But more companies are recognizing the value of communicating across the boundaries of language and culture both in their native markets and abroad. LocWorld provides executives with opportunities to learn from experts from around the world about the benefits of preparing early for global users, managing content, translation tools, quality control and launching websites and products for multiple languages. It also presents an opportunity to review the best products and services in the exhibit hall."
LocWorld35 Silicon Valley sponsors include: SDL, Smartling, Lionbridge, Welocalize and thebigword.
